Intensive scientific discussions and exchange of detailed experiences during meetings depend very much on the meeting structure and the number of participants. Since the Wolfsberg Meeting is intended to provide a platform for stimulating scientific exchange, the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 150 (including invited speakers). Consequently, a total of app. 140 participants will be selected from the abstract applications by the Scientific Committee purely based on scientific quality of the abstracts.

The applied and anonymized abstracts will be evaluated by at least seven members of the Scientific Committee on the basis of following criteria: novelty of the research, significance of the findings and clarity. According to the evaluation and scoring results, abstracts will be ranked topic-specifically. For each topic the three highest-ranking abstracts will be selected for proffered paper oral presentations (20 min incl. discussion). A selected amount of abstracts will be offered to write an original article manuscript, which may be published after peer-reviewing in the journal Radiotherapy and Oncology (most likely in an autumn 2023 issue).

Authors who submit an abstract confirm that - if they are selected - they will present their data either as proffered paper or as poster according to the decision of the Scientific Committee. Deadline for abstract submission is January 31, 2023. Only 1 abstract per presenting author can be submitted. Authors also agree to have their abstract printed within an abstract booklet distributed at the Wolfsberg conference and in a special issue of the Journal Radiotherapy and Oncology.

Selected authors for either proffered papers or posters and applicants not selected for participation in the conference will be notified by March 11, 2023. We keep the tradition for the Wolfsberg Meeting that only one presenter of a selected abstract (proffered papers or posters) can register to the conference. Selected abstract authors must pay the conference fee before April 11, 2023.
